“In the face of obstacles, instead of asking: what’s wrong? Ask instead: what’s next.

Winnie’s Story

It was during 1997 Asian Financial Crisis that I made the bold move to join the Insurance Industry. There was no looking back ever since. I faced many obstacles transiting from Banker to Advisor and I am grateful for supportive clients who have given me the opportunity to partner with them in their financial planning journey. I embrace life with an attitude of excellence and firmly believe that success is by design. Other than the mentors who have guided me, I am thankful for the many veterans ahead of me who have penned down their greatest lessons in books – which has brought me to where I am today. My dream eventually is to write and publish my own book.

“I was unable to claim on my policies due to poor advice from my previous advisor. I was introduced to Winnie and she focused on understanding my concerns before recommending any solutions. I was convinced of her sincerity and eventually entrusted my family’s insurance planning to her.”
Cami Soh, Director of Operations

“I was serviced by Winnie since Army and it took me a while for me to appreciate the benefits of financial planning. Without her relentless follow-up, I would not have gone to the extent of systematically planning my retirement years and children’s education.”
Ken Lee, University Professor

“Winnie delivers her service through sound advice, prompt response and an immaculate claims process supported by her staff.  I am very assured of the level of commitment Winnie has for all clients despite the many hats she has to wear.”

Adriann’s Story

I joined AIA as an Undergraduate FSC when I was 21 to earn more pocket money. I used to be quiet and reserved until I started gaining confidence through the business. Instead of pursuing my course of study of Engineering upon graduation, I continued my line of financial work. Under the guidance of my Director, Winnie, and with support from my wife, Fran, I became a Manager, and was eventually promoted to Associate Director. I lead a team of consultants, mostly from similar backgrounds as me. Even as a manager, I serve my clients and ensure they never walk alone in their financial planning journey. Apart from work, I also enjoy spending time with my loved ones.

Dovanson’s Story

I was an undergraduate when I first joined AIA as an FSC as a way of earning extra allowance. However, over the years, I found a sense of belonging to Win Financial and a burning passion for the career. Upon graduation, I was offered to work in Australia to join my father in a Japanese Engineering MNC, which I turned down after much consideration. I had witnessed sufferings that a family would go through without proper financial planning, but more often than not, this realization comes too late for many, and the price to pay becomes too high. Therefore, it has since then been my plan to educate as many people as possible on the importance of having proper financial planning.

“I have known Dovanson for almost half of my life and his reliability and patience have been unwavering. He is a big help in getting my finances in order – always willing to go the extra mile even though there is nothing in it for him. I am clueless and fazed about financial planning, and he took the effort to explained in the most simplistic manner to the point till I finally understood – kudos to that.”
-Cheryl Lim, Associate Director, Advertising

“Dovanson and I have known each other since secondary school. I approached him to handle my AIA policies as I preferred someone familiar. Dovanson plans for me according to my current situation. He had even advised me not to take up any policy at some point in time because I was well covered. This is the mark of a truly professional financial advisor.”
-Chew Sin Kiat, IT Security Specialist

“Being part of Spartans Advisors made me realised how fortunate I am to be groomed and nurtured under the wings of Dovanson. I am extremely grateful for his selflessness and patience. Such servant leadership has brought out the best in me. To my boss and mentor Dovanson, you deserve an extra note of thanks for bringing me to where I am today!”

Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.”

Junxiong’s Story

I initially joined AIA as an FSC to earn extra income during my undergraduate days in NTU. But it eventually grew into a commitment to help people I crossed paths with. With more than a decade of experience in the financial services industry, I understand the common financial concerns that individuals and families go through during their different stages of lives. As an FSC, I am committed to ensuring that all my clients’ financial planning needs are well taken of. When I helped a client claim a $1 million hospitalisation bill for end-stage Lymphoma, it was then that I saw how meaningful my job was. As cliché as it may sound, to be a good FSC takes dedication and sincerity.
